The Rehabilitation Therapy Department is seeking a TSS who is willing to serve in a float role across our various outpatient sites.  This float role will provide backup support for current staff who are responsible for processing DME/Prior Authorizations for the entire department. The float TSS will also cover time off for current staff across all outpatient sites.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The TSS is an integral part of the Rehabilitation Therapy team and plays an essential role in the overall patient experience.  They are a key contributor to delivering high quality customer service to our patients and visitors that is caring, consistent and reliable.  The TSS provides administrative support in the clinical setting to patients, families, members of the care team and administrative leaders to ensure the smooth operation of a Rehabilitation Therapy practice.  Key responsibilities include patient check-in and scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, telephone service and other administrative support duties.

EDUCATION:

H.S. Diploma or equivalent required; Coursework in administrative or medical sciences preferred. Coursework in medical terminology is beneficial.

EXPERIENCE:

Proven customer service experience is required.  Must be a team player who is flexible, willing to adapt to change and demonstrates strong attention-to-detail.  Must be able to multi-task, work independently and have solid organizational skills.  Must have strong computer skills along with the ability to learn new computer programs.  The successful candidate demonstrates initiative, possesses a process-improvement mindset and has excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Experience in a medical environment, patient scheduling, registration and/or data entry are preferred.
