JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the duties of the histology laboratory. Responsible for accurate routine and stat tissue processing including embedment, microtomy, mounting and staining. Performs routine and special histology including advanced immunocytochemical and histochemical testing. Recognizes procedural, instrument and quality control problems and notifies Lead Histotechnologist. Follows guidelines to correct problems and errors. Prepares reagent, stains and solutions according to guidelines.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree, Histotechnologist certification within two years of hire.

EXPERIENCE:

None, prefer 1 year in Histology Laboratory.

Sign on Bonus:

$10,000 - must have at least 1 year experience - paid out over three years. Applies to external candidates only.
