Specific duties are determined by site. Services may include diagnostic evaluations, focused clinical assessment, psychological intervention, staff consultation, clinical supervision, and program development and oversight. Staff psychologists may also participate in multidisciplinary organizational initiatives and program evaluation.

The psychologist who assumes this position will join a team of clinicians who provide clinical consultation to staff and psychotherapy to patients referred by the Cancer Center and hospital attending physicians. The incoming psychologist will provide support in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Our service prioritizes supportive intervention to facilitate adjustment to diagnosis and treatment as well as relapse and end of life concerns when indicated.  The incoming psychologist will be expected to collaborate with Cancer Center providers and colleagues across disciplines.

The Department of Psychological Services at UVMMC is especially interested in candidates who have a demonstrated background in multicultural psychology and can contribute to the diversity, equity and inclusion in the department, organization and network. We welcome applicants who will advance our mission to be an anti-racist department and organization and promote cultural humility and a sense of belonging for every individual and community we serve. Applicants are asked to include information in their cover letter about how they will further this aim.
