We are seeking either a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse for this opportunity.

Salary details for a Unit LPN are listed below in the job description for a Unit LPN.

This position is eligible for full benefits, including but not limited to: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life and Disability Insurance, 403(b) plan with employer contribution, and time-off plans.

 

This position is eligible for the following differentials: 

  • Weekend $2 per hour (in addition to any applicable Evening or Night differentials)  

Unit Registered Nurse

RNs with at least 1 year of experience are eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus.  

The bonus will be paid out in two installments: the first pay check and after completion of one year of satisfactory employment.  Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.

Job Summary

The Unit RN performs services requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment and skill for carrying out the nursing regimen in support of medical care, based upon the principles of the biological, physiological, behavioral, and social sciences.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.

Experience

  • Gerontological nursing and knowledge of supervision techniques preferred.
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Demonstrate competence as a nursing practitioner.
  • BLS certification

Unit Licensed Practical Nurse

The salary range for Unit LPN is Min: $21.47 Mid: $26.83 Max: $32.20

An employment bonus of up to $7,500 is available for an LPN for this role.

Bonus payment are subject to applicable taxes and will be paid out in three installments: after completion of satisfactory probationary period (generally 90 days), after 1 year, and after 2 years of employment.  Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.

The Licensed Practical Nurse performs services requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment and skill for carrying out selected aspects of the designated nursing regiment under the direction of a RN.
Education
Current LPN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required.

Experience

  • Gerontological nursing and knowledge of supervision techniques preferred.
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Demonstrate competence as a nursing practitioner.
  • BLS certification

Unit Information 

Memory Care is designed to meet the changing needs of individuals as they experience the progression of symptoms and increases in cognitive loss associated with a diagnosis of dementia. Our early-stage program offers activity-based care in a warm, supportive and safe environment with a primary goal of helping individuals maintain dignity, purpose and functional ability. This highly specialized unit is staffed with very dedicated advocates and team members. Residents in this unit are the most vulnerable, usually unable to advocate for themselves.

Helen Porter Rehabilitation & Nursing is a welcoming, secure residence where loved ones are assured of skilled nursing care and assistance with daily living and where privacy is honored and individuality respected.
