GENERAL SUMMARY:
The RN works under the general supervision of the Manager of Interventional Radiology, under clinical supervision of the provider(s) to deliver excellent patient care completing the duties and responsibilities of the position while complying with HIPAA and CVPH confidentiality policies. They are responsible to manage patient flow while supporting provider(s) to ensure efficient use of their time and minimize patient wait time. This role involves phone, triage, coordination of care, collaboration with physicians and other clinical staff in various departments, as well as pre and post procedural patient teaching. They are responsible to perform operational and quality/risk management duties according to regulations and protocols. The position requires regular use of independent judgment to interpret and apply policies, procedures and practices. AHA-BLS certification is required however, certification is not a qualifying factor to obtain the position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
1. Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
2. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
3. AHA-BLS is required within 6 months of hire or a current non-AHA-BLS card will be honored up to date of renewal.
4. Excellent attention to detail required.
5. Good written and verbal communication skills required.
6. Ability to make appropriate decisions with a minimum amount of supervisory direction required.
7. Knowledge of medical practice management and/or electronic medical records systems a plus. 8. Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience in Interventional Radiology required. 9. Outpatient experience preferred.
10. Physician office experience preferred.
