Unit Description

The FitzPatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh, New York, offers a premier environment for oncology nurses seeking to make a difference in cancer care. Our center is equipped with advanced technology, ensuring access to cutting-edge therapies. We pride ourselves on our collaborative approach, bringing together a multidisciplinary team of oncologists, nurses, researchers, and support staff dedicated to improving patient outcomes. Located in the scenic region of Plattsburgh near the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Champlain, our center provides a fulfilling work-life balance amidst a backdrop of natural beauty. Our Oncology Registered Nurses need to obtain their Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certificate within 1 year of hire and need to complete 12 oncology continuing education credits each year.

Primary Shift: 0800-1630, Secondary Shifts: 0830-1700 & 0930-1800

On-Call: Not Required

Requirements:

  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of New York required.
  • Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
