Outpatient Nurse Manager - MGM

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Nurse Manager reports to the Director of Practice Operations and has an advisory reporting relationship through the CVPH Chief Nursing Officer related to regulatory compliance and scope of clinical practice. There is a collaborative relationship to the Practice Supervisors for matters of clinical practice, operational workflows and efficiencies, regulatory readiness, and process standardization. This position also provides functional guidance to Practice Supervisors on issues of clinical practice, and regulatory readiness. 

Regulatory compliance and scope of clinical practice in the outpatient practice setting.

EDUCATION

BSN/MSN in nursing or completion within 3 years required. Minimum of 3 years demonstrated leadership experience in an ambulatory physician practice setting (either primary care and/or subspecialty) or 2 year degree as a Registered Nurse and minimum of 5 years demonstrated leadership experience in an ambulatory physician practice setting (either primary care and/or subspecialty).

Current license as a Registered Nurse in NYS.

EXPERIENCE

• Working knowledge and experience with physician practice management systems, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience/skill within a training/education environment
• Experience and familiarity with Joint Commission CLIA, CMS and NYS regulatory environment as it pertains to ambulatory practice.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge working within an electronic health record
• Working knowledge of current pay-for-performance, NCQA-PCMH and Meaningful Use protocols and
