Job Details
The Maintenance Worker/Ambulance Driver position requires an individual that is responsible for daily rounds throughout the complex noting and repairing all items logged at each department location. The individual also will be involved with other day to day operational projects and assist other facilities staff as assigned. The Ambulance Driver is responsible for safely transporting ALS/BLS patients from Elizabethtown Community Hospital to CVPH, UVMMC, AMC, Albany Medical, and other associated trauma centers. Education / Skills Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid New York State driver’s license to operate assigned vehicles.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate well with managers, co0workers, hospital staff, patients, and visitors of ECH as well as other facilities.
• Conduct his/herself as a self-directed professional, courteous attitude, works independently with minimal supervision.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality as specifies in hospital policy and procedure.
