Job Details
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in the routine daily operations of the Pharmacy Department under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician should have the ability to complete multiple tasks, work within deadlines, provide great communication, and have excellent clerical skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Skills Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum) required.
Previous hospital/pharmacy experience preferred.
Basic typing and or computer skills, preferred.
Basic math skills
Must have an active Drivers License
Must secure a Valid National Pharmacy Technician Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program.
Must attempt examantaion within 6 months of effective hire date
Must secure certification within 12 months of effective hire date and register with the NY Department of Education as a Registered Pharmacy Technician
