JOB DESCRIPTION:

At the discretion of the overseeing clinical provider in combination with the Porter Cardiology Practice Manager, the Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for the performance of the echocardiograms (transthoracic echo, transesophageal echo, exercise stress echo).

The ability to work independently with excellent time management skills is highly desired.

This role is primarily a day shift role, Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday clinics as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS) by the Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP) is required within one year of hire.

Three years of Echocardiography experience or equivalent education and training preferred.

SIGN ON BONUS & RELOCATION ASSISTANCE:     

 External candidates who have not worked within the network in the past year are eligible to receive a sign on bonus of $10,000 to $15,000 (depending on experience) and $9,200 in relocation assistance.

  • The sign on bonus will be paid out in three equal payments over 2 years and the amount above reflects gross pay.

  • Both the sign on bonus and relocation assistance are subject to tax withholdings and deductions as required by law.
