We are seeking an ARRT registered Xray Technologist for the team at Alice Hyde Medical Center (AHMC) to support our patients as they come in for their exams and assist our team with providing exceptional care throughout our community. JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our Xray Tech performs diagnostic radiologic procedures on patients as ordered by licensed providers in an ethical and professional manner according to hospital and departmental policy and according to any applicable New York State guidelines. Must assist in all aspects of the Radiology Department operations.
QUALIFICATIONS - Education and Skills Required:
1) Must be licensed by the New York State Department of Health. Must be registered by ARRT Radiographer (R).
2) Requires sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner.
3) Requires positive and effective communicating skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation.
4) Requires an ability to think and act quickly in order to deliver efficient quality care in a variety of stressful situations.
5) Must be BLS certified (or obtained within 3 months).
As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
HOURS:
16 hours/week and weekends as scheduled.
Weekdays – 3pm-11:30pm and weekends – 9am-930pm
In a typical shift, you'll be performing portables, and serving our inpatient, outpatient, ED and OR patients

EMPLOYMENT BONUS:
