Certified Nurse Midwife Opportunity at Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC)

Location: Central Vermont Medical Center, 130 Fisher Road, Berlin, Vermont  

Shifts: Day/Eve; Primary Shift 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM  

Position Summary:

Join our growing team at Central Vermont Medical Center as a Certified Nurse Midwife. In this vital role, you will work alongside our supportive team of MDs, including 4 OB/GYNs and a family practice physician, all of whom are advocates of the midwifery model of care. This expansion from two to four midwives is designed to meet the increasing demand for our midwifery services. You will provide comprehensive healthcare across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecology, and labor management and delivery, functioning within the Bylaws of the Medical Staff and adhering to the highest standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with physicians to deliver holistic care covering the full spectrum of midwifery.

- Participate in a 1:4 call schedule, serving as the first call for obstetrics and assisting with cesarean sections.

- Promote and participate in the growth of our midwifery services.

Ideal Candidate:

- Possesses at least 2 years of full-scope midwifery experience.

- Passionate about providing patient-centered care.

- Eager to contribute to a team that values professional development and patient well-being.

- Graduate from an accredited school of nurse midwifery.

- Current RN with Vermont License, endorsed as a certified nurse midwife.
