Nurse Clinician - Wound Care

Unit Description: The Nurse Clinician – Wound Care is responsible for the clinical coordination of care related to a specific group of patients or aspect of patient care. This clinician is engaged in bedside consultation, assessment and follow up care for patients with pressure injuries/wounds/ostomies in the inpatient setting.  A collaborative team member that applies specialized knowledge through direct care, teaching, consultation, research and guidance of other nursing personnel and other members of the health care team.  The nurse clinician is also involved in practice and policy development, committee work, data monitoring and nursing/staff education as needed. Coordination of care extends across the University of Vermont Medical Center and to the outside community.

• State of Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license required. BSN Required. Master's degree preferred.  WOCN certification preferred.  Other applicable certifications will be considered. 
• Minimum of 3 years relevant RN clinical experience in specialty area.
