Network Business Planning Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Business Planning Consultant is a high-level independent contributor within the University of Vermont Health Network (UVMHN). Working with clinical and administrative leadership, facilities, IT, finance and others, he/she/they coordinates and facilitates business planning for major projects leading to certificate of need applications. The Business Planning Consultant is responsible for sophisticated analyses supporting business and operational planning as well as analyses of new opportunities including how to share services regionally. With information from many sources, these analyses include but are not limited to understanding changing socioeconomic and demographic conditions, payment models, service volumes and demand projections of partners and other regional providers. The consultant contributes to capital and master facility planning and monitors progress on the strategic plan.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, in Statistics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Five years of progressive, successful experience in complex analyses, strategic planning, business planning, facilities and/or operational planning including sophisticated financial modeling; budgeting and forecasting.

Five years of progressive, successful experience in complex HEALTHCARE analyses, strategic planning, business planning, facilities and/or operational planning including sophisticated financial modeling; budgeting and forecasting knowledge.
