GENERAL SUMMARY: The Advanced Practice Provider works under the general supervision of the Practice Supervisor and Medical supervisor of the physician(s) to provide excellent medical care completing the duties and responsibilities of the position while complying with HIPAA and hospital confidentiality policies. They are responsible to provide health care services as licensed professionals working within their defined scope of practice. This position requires regular use of independent judgment. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Skills Required:1.Current license as a Registered Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in New York State required.2.Current or eligible for NYS DEA license.3.Certification in Diabetic Education or Board Certification in Advanced diabetic Management preferred.4.Expertise in clearly communicating medical information to professional practitioners and general public required. 5.Must develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients and external customers.6.Must maintain confidentiality and support the goals and objectives of CVPH.7.Ability to make appropriate decisions with a minimum amount of supervisory direction.8.Desire to remain current on emerging trends in technologies, issues and approaches as they relate to Endocrinology.9.Must have ability to work in a team environment.10.Medical office experience preferred.11.Experience in treating diabetes and other Endocrine conditions required.As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of the patients for which care is being provided.
