This is a hybrid-remote position.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Network Director of Grant Office supports network-wide development, leadership, and implementation of the overall fundraising strategy of the grants team for the University of Vermont Health Network. Responsible for identification, coordination, solicitation, and stewardship of a designated portfolio of current and prospective private, state, and federal grants.
Leads and supports a team overseeing grant writing efforts network-wide to secure catalytic and sustainable funding for programs and projects. Writes and submits grant proposals and reports, provides program development support, and develops and maintains strong relationships with funders and internal partners. Maintains oversight and supports complex grant submissions of third-party grant writing organizations contracted by the Network (e.g., DOL, HRSA, state grants, etc.).
Through a close partnership with key internal stakeholders (e.g., clinical leaders, subject matter experts, workforce development, etc.) and external stakeholders (philanthropic organizations, foundations, state, and federal government organizations, etc.), this role will lead assigned projects pre and post grant to meet the current funding needs for the UVM Health Network.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as nonprofit management, public administration, business administration, or a related field). Advanced degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires three to five years of experience in business, development, finance, accounting, public administration, grant writing, communications, or related field.
Prior experience working in or with a large and/or highly matrixed healthcare organization or facility is strongly preferred.
