CVPH MRI-CT Manager

A team of seasoned radiology leaders and lead technologists combined with planned equipment and facilities upgrades create an exciting career opportunity for the next MRI-CT Manager at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital! Besides these updates, the MRI-CT Manager will influence the alignment of policies and procedures for the Radiology team across The University of Vermont Health Network. An emphasis on relationship building and strong communication will serve the MRI-CT manager well.

The MRI-CT Manager supervises a team spread across three locations for MRI and two locations for CT. CVPH uses 4 MRI scanners and 3 CT scanners, with a fourth (256 slice CT Scanner) scheduled to come online in the next twelve months.   

Knowledge of Philips and GE CT & MRI equipment beneficial. Experience leading in a union environment a plus. Supervisory experience preferred.

SIGN ON BONUS & RELOCATION ELIGIBLE:

Relocation assistance of $9,200 is available for candidates who are joining us from a distance that is greater than 50 miles from their previous role and home. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Protocol improvement, development, and revision for both CT and MRI. Process improvement. Policy revision. Policy development. Staffing and scheduling. Employee concerns/coaching. Staff education. Patient satisfaction/service recovery. PACS support and RIS support. Radiation safety. Other duties as assigned. Purchasing and vendor research/relationships. Quality assurance for both MR and CT. CT and MR imaging, post-processing.

HOURS/SHIFTS:

Rotating manager on call responsibilities of one week per month. Standard shift is Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associate's degree in Radiography required. Bachelor's preferred.

2. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist required.

3. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist - CT Advanced Registry preferred.

4. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist - MR Advanced Registry preferred.

5. CPR/BLS required.

6. State of New York Department of Health Radiologic Technologist certification required.

7. State of New York Department of Health Radiologic Technologist with injection preferred.

8. Equipment experience required: MR and CT scanner.

9. Medrad and Malinkrodt power injector.

10. Post processing equipment.

11. MRI safe pumps and monitoring equipment.  Contrast and IV starts.

12. All MR and CT equipment.

13. PACS, RIS, Transport Tracking, MR and CT control equipment, Post-processing software.
