Schedule:
Primarily day shift with occasional evening hours to support training needs
No weekend requirement
Are you passionate about creating impactful learning experiences and driving excellence in environmental services? Our EVS Department is seeking a Coordinator of Training and Development to lead initiatives that support staff growth, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement.
Position Overview:
As the Coordinator of Training and Development, you will play a key role in shaping the onboarding and ongoing education of both front-line and leadership team members. This position combines instructional design, regulatory expertise, and quality assurance to ensure our department consistently delivers a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Orientation: Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for new hires and current staff, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and safety standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Provide technical guidance to support adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including JCAHO, EPA, CMS, OSHA, VOSHA, and CDC.
Quality Assurance: Develop and monitor quality assurance programs; analyze results and recommend targeted training or in-service initiatives to address systemic issues.
Recruitment Support: Collaborate with leadership to support hiring and onboarding processes.
Cross-Shift Collaboration: Partner with day and night shift managers to maintain a consistently clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Education
Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Environmental Science, Hotel/Hospitality Management or Facilities Management. Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience
Two years supervising cleaning personnel in the healthcare industry. Previous experience supervising employees at varied skill levels. Demonstrated ability to train entry-level service employees.
